At first I was hesitant to get this BL novel because of the title, I should have listened. Well It does have a nice story ,characters coming through nicely. Its Nice.A mystery lover that ends up the boss and becomes the perfect lover. The conflict of the main character stems from his insecurity of having fleeting relationships . Compared to the other novel I have, the love scenes here are written in a somewhat dry manner .I found myself getting bored reading the sex scenes.Illustations are ok but i feel it could be better, too bland. When I use the words "ok" and "nice" in a review, it basically means I am not impressed. This book will end up in my resale box.

I, like another reviewer thought this was a manga, and was a little disappointed when it arrived and was a slim mass media book. I put it on my bookshelf for a bit, and after running out of other reading material, I brought it into work to read during my lunch break. I was so engrossed I ended up taking a much longer lunch than I should have! I couldn't wait to get home to finish reading it!! Ok, so the uke was a little weak and a bit winy, but the story was fairly compelling, and the sex scenes were seriously hot!! I recommend it. It's a quick read, but it is quite tasty.

This is the best Yaoi novel I have ever read. I admit, I have only read about ten, but that is only because I found them so disappointing. "Caged Slave" is a well plotted story, easy to follow (I have found some Yaoi novels to have very confusing plots, although that might be because I am not Japanese so am missing some cultural understanding or it might have been a poor translation), very few typos, and with quite a few steamy scenes of a very adult nature. I was extremely pleased with this buy and wish the author had more that just this title available in the US for purchase.

This book is amazing! When I 1st looked at it I thought it was a regular manga, but when it arrived in the mail, it was a novel and I was a little disappointed because I was never really into reading novels of any sort. But this book changed my mind whole heartedly. It has an great story line and a good plot. It may not be something that will happen in real life but its still a good fantasy story with a little real world drama thrown in.The sex scenes are pretty good. The 1st one in my opinion is the best. A good amount of detailed to make u hot under the collar! Take my advice, don't knock a yaoi novel till u read the customer reviews! Ha! This one is truely amazing is deserved to be read.

Tsukasa is a "cold beauty" (I think this should be a typical Japanese stereotype, since it's the second time I found it in an yaoi novel...). He is so beautiful that people around him think that he doesn't need to be properly loved but only admired, and when someone dares to reach for him, he finds a totally different guy, a guy who is not so selfish and selfcontrolled as he seems, and also a guy who needs to be cherished and protected, and above all romantically loved. Yes since Tsukasa dreams of the perfect lover and the perfect life they could have together. And instead, he is just dumped by his last lover who wants to marry a rich girl to have an advancement in career.Tsukasa is mourning in the bar of a posh hotel when he is cruised by an handsome, and apparently, wealthy business man. He is so sad and lonely that, even if he is not is usual behavior, he accepts to follow the man in his room and they spend a night of sex. Another surprise for Tsukas, who, in his previous relationships, has never really appreciated the sexual part of the relationship, always suffered it as a duty to please his partner. And instead this handsome stranger takes care of Tsukasa, and of his body, and brings him to high sexual level he has never reached before.The morning after Tsukasa is surprised, but pleased, when the man asks him a repeat performance the next week. They start a long relationship, meeting every week at the same hotel and in the same room. Tsukasa is addicted to this man, a man he even doesn't know for name.The story is pretty simple and there is a twist in the middle that turns it in a classical of the romance genre, the boss and secretary's relationship. It's pretty clear that for Tsukasa is love, since for the first time he has found a not selfish partner, who not only see his beauty exterior, but also sees the man, and his needs. The story obviously is pretty erotic, but not so graphic details of other in the same genre. There is a lot of sex, but I think Tsukasa's character has a right development. Maybe the "handsome stranger" could be a bit more explained, his reasons, his feelings, above all in the second part, when he is also given a real role.

I was lured in by the cover art and promise of illustrations, but I just did not find this book sexy. I found myself laughing during the sex scenes at the florid purple prose (and Tsukasa's effluent "honey") and wanting to kick them both in the head for being stupid.Admittedly, I don't know whether the florid prose is in the original or whether it's an artifact of translation.

I had purchased 'So, You Want to Be a Physician' for my child when she started applying to medical schools. She was successful in getting admission to medical school with the material and guidance given in the book. Pre-medical students carry an inordinate amount of academic load to meet the medschool course prerequisites. The extra curricular activities place even greater demand on their time. The application process itself can be the proverbial 'last straw that breaks the camel's back.' The book offers focused, relevant information thus making it easier for the students to separate the essentials from nice-to-have and effectively manage the application process.

As a college freshman I recommend this book to any young college student or high school student considering medical school. The author gives advice on what actions a student can take to maximize their med school application’s attraction to an admissions officer. This guide will encourage any prospective student to laser in on exactly on what medical schools want to see, without being “distracted” by other parts of a college experience. However, after reading halfway through "Hooked" I purchased it because it is fascinating and intelligent on many levels.Browsing through a couple of negative reviews here I noted that somebody mentioned that this book "Hooked" doesn't provide a perfect blueprint; well, no book ever does. Anybody who believes that is either under the age of 23 or has never tried any business endeavor.What I like about "Hooked" is that author Nir Eyal presents a multi-faceted picture and thinking. He does not have one scenario but explains how the experiences from many fields lead us to a model how we (most likely) can "hook" customers.The book is witty and Eyal brings a lot of obvious examples that make the reader think:"... (p.44) Types of External Triggers: ... Imagine if Facebook or Twitter needed to buy an ad to prompt users to revisit their sites–these companies would soon go broke..."It's a brilliant example. Most of the people who read this book have a presence on either one or both social media sites, hence we can imagine the situation and we can see why "the advertisement model of yore" is not the answer to today's more complex situation any longer. Opposite to only 25 years ago when running ads on TV or in newspapers was one sure path to success today we have more opportunities hence that old system isn't working any longer.The book features absolutely fascinating examples.On p. 32 Eyal lays out that today many investors want to know "Are you building a vitamin or a painkiller?" implying, though a "great vitamin" will have many fans and followers who swear by it there will be others who don't care about living healthy; in contrast, everybody who has pains needs a painkiller whether they like it or not.Eyal makes the reader go through the exercise of pondering if today's hottest consumer technology companies (FB, Twitter, Instagram etc.) offer vitamins or painkillers. Indeed, though at first it looks as if all of them offer vitamins there are already enough "addicted" people who need "social media site painkillers" to vent, to reaffirm their own worth and so on...It is this interesting and fascinating thinking which I believe to be valuable to all people regardless of whether they are entrepreneurs who want to sell something, or people who work in a steady employment.These days we never know how things are going, hence adding this riveting perspective to one's thinking can only be extremely beneficial.I also appreciated the detailed list of social media sites and apps mentioned throughout the book. I am one of the people Eyal mentions, people who have reservations to join just any site and build cross connections. Still, learning about Codeacademy, Mahalo, Fitocracy, Any.do, Tinder, and what makes visitors come back to them was extremely interesting,.Recommended with a wholehearted – 5 stars. I recently purchased the kindle version of this book for my kindle TOUCH and so far it is really nice... I go to the TABLE of CONTENTS then to the INDEX and search for the name of the pill/ medication that I am looking for (sometimes it takes a few min, depending on what you are looking for because yes, you do have to start from 'A') and when I find it I click on it and it brings me directly to the medication/pill that I am looking for. The information is easy to read and the majority of it is in ENGLISH (not an obscene amount of med. terminology or nurse shorthand)Even the pill identification charts work, however because I have the touch, it's in black and white and the drawback to the charts is that you have to look through each one, starting at A (however if you can click (touch the side to turn the page) real fast and kinda keep up with it, again, not so bad.)I actually purchased this to help with a project we have called 'drug cards' as I am studying to be a M.Assistant, so this is helping me learn the side effects and everything else listed :) Good book for beginning Med student or pharmacist tech if your not good with the med terminology yet.

Like Leonard Maltin's comprehensive Movie Guide, this is a book to have at arm's reach and to discard with each new edition (average useful life is 2 years). But having tried the somewhat less expensive Kindle version, primarily because of instantaneous delivery, I'd have to recommend spending the extra buck on a hard-copy edition. Unless you're an experienced, exceptionally agile Kindle user, reference books like this are much more convenient in hard-copy rather than virtual, or electronic, form. Practically any book that is information-exhaustive and index-dependent is cumbersome to use as an e-book, unless you don't mind entering Search numerous times. (It would be helpful if the Kindle had a one-button Index feature, with the words in the index acting as hot-links to the information in question.) Caveat: I may be overlooking a feature of the Kindle. Apart from the index, the device surpasses hard copy in its compactness, convenience, clutter-reduction, and audible read-back feature.

I purchased a total of 3 of this book. I love the organized information and they are easy to follow. I gave one for my mom to help her understand how her medication works and the interaction of the pill with another medication as well as how the pill reacts to her food and drink. The other book went to my aunt who requested this book for she also wants to know about the medication she is taking. She was so grateful of my gift to her.

I literally am never without this book.I have on occasion even given this book as a gift to people that have developed medical situations where they will be taking a lot of medications.The book is extremely well written for the average person on the street. Also, it's incredibly easy to find the meds you're looking for.(Unlike other books I have.) The meds are usually listed in Brand name and Generic form, alphabetically.The explanations are thorough and easy to read.I can't think of any other phrases to impress you with other than "YOU MUST HAVE THIS BOOK TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVED ONES".

This is a great book to have specially for working nurses. finding the information about medication is very quick and easy, (word of advice, look for the list of medications first and bookmark certain medications that start at certain letters) then navigate from there. very helpful in the clinical setting the the book explains information fairly well and straight to the point. I would recommend this book for all clinicians and nursing students.

Sure all or most of this information is on the internet but what if your computer goes down and you get a new prescription from your Doctor and you have questions? Before there were 800 numbers to call and computers to google subjects on there were books like this one. I happened to run across one my Mom had from 1998 so I thought I would get up to date on the drugs that are commonly taken by us every day. Great book-easy to read and makes a great reference source. Price was very very reasonable too.

Great book, it's got everything that I've looked for. And every thing you could want to know, good and bad about a drug. It's my go to book for the whole family. Especially from my mother, who has Several drugs she needs. And if the change one of them, can know all about it, that docs and Pharmacist may forget to tell you about.
