So, this is a beautiful and very well made book. The pages are perforated for easy removal. The designs are single sided and the paper quality is excellent, but...I don't like it much. The designs have a tremendous amount of black and the lines are extremely thick and heavy, so there is not as much space to colour in each picture. It also looks weird if you use certain gel pens or coloured pencils as the lines are hard to avoid and the result looks messy. If it weren't for the abundance of black, I would have given this book five stars for the layout. The designs are pretty, but not much fun to colour when one has to contend with those black lines.

This is a wonderful set of coloring designs by artist Joy Ting for Peter Pauper Press. This is my first coloring book by this designer, so I wasn't sure what to expect. There are 31 designs that are mostly abstract and which are bold with dark lines throughout. Many of them are flower designs have a wild quality to them that does not exist in nature. The designs range from fairly easy to color to much more complex. The pages are a heavyweight white paper. This is fantastic as my pencils, gel pens, and ultra fine markers (except for Sharpies) do not bleed through on this paper. The designs are printed on only one side with the back side left blank, so if you are using regular markers or watercolors, you can put an extra page in between just in case some color leaches through. The pages are perforated and are extremely easy to remove. The paper is also acid-free which means that the paper will not turn colors with age and all the work you put into coloring the designs will be safe. Additionally, the binding easily lies flat and gives you access to make coloring in this book and easy and fun thing to do.It is a fun book to color in and the heavy, bold lines make it easy to put my colors in exactly the right spot.

I think this is a nice adult coloring book. It is a mix of slightly easier designs to more complex, making it good for beginners and above. There are 31 designs all printed on one side of thick quality paper. The paper is perforated for easy tear out. The reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel some of the pictures were a bit repetitive, just slight variations of almost the same design, and the black lines on the pictures are very thick and heavy.

The pages are very thick and strong. Will take markers with no bleed through, super quality. Designs are only copied on one side, wonderful!! The designs are beautiful!!! There are 31 pictures to color, unfortunately 15 of them have far too much black in them to bother coloring.

Disappointed in this book...too much black, very little surface to color...no variety, pictures are boring and blah....wish I had chosen a different book. Oh well, it’s the 4th book I’ve purchased and the only one I’m giving a 👎. Luckily, it was inexpensive and not worth the bother to return it....

I bought this adult coloring book for those times when I just need to relax. I don't really like this coloring book because the lines are so thick on the pictures & I just don't think that looks very good. I bought two & they both have thick lines so I won't be buying these again.

If you’re looking for a coloring book with bold lines and this is the book for you. I personally really enjoyed coloring and books with a lot of thick black why I prefer that to the very thin skinny lines. I personally really enjoy coloring in books with a lot of thick black lines I prefer that to the very thin skinny lines. it is definitely a preference But if you prefer thick lines too thin lines this is a great coloring book. The patterns are fun and I wish there is more out there like this

First of all, this coloring book came a day earlier than expected which was a huge bonus for someone as excited as myself. Secondly, I love the images in this book, they are so cute and will be a blast to color! Thirdly, I cannot say enough about the paper quality!! It is amazing. It's smooth and my markers don't leave indentions in it at all. There was no bleed through at all, only minimal evidence that something was colored on the front, (I used both the staedtler triplus fineliners and the paper mate flairs on the front page). The book came in a plastic sleeve in a fairly large box with the giant bubble wrap things. It was very well protected and is quickly becoming one of my favorite coloring books I own.

I have another adult coloring in this series. I love my paisley book but I'm not crazy about this one. I find it childlike. The pages are large illustrations. I dont find it Joyful. I have many adult coloring books. I will put this at bottom of pile. I will order the Believe in the series.

Review

'Never less than highly readable'. (Classical Music)‘A meticulously researched, engrossing read, vividly bringing its eight subjects to life. It should appeal not only to music connoisseurs but to anyone interested in social and cultural history – and women’s place in it.’ (Financial Times)'Offers vivid, colourful context on a situation that is echoed back through the centuries…Readable and wide-ranging, Beer's deft sketches are an elegant introduction to their subjects'. (Spectator)‘Beer’s snapshot lives of women composers are savvy, sympathetic... [an] essential and insightful study of a woman’s unsung place in the closed world of classical music.’ (Wall Street Journal)‘Beer’s writing is lucid, engaging and exuberant, strongly evoking the cultures and atmospheres that surrounded her subjects…the book in general is terrifically enjoyable and accessible, and leaves one hankering for a second volume.’ (Sunday Times)‘Absorbing ... [Beer] writes with rich detail and sympathetic insight about [these women's] ambitious, adventurous battles to overcome barriers to creativity.’ (Publishers Weekly)‘Rewarding…insightful…Beer conveys the sexism and lifelong frustrations some immensely gifted creative artists encountered.’ (New York Times)‘Such traits, as Beer laments, are still with us…All the more important, then, for excellent books like this one to remind us of what we are all missing’. (Catholic Herald)

#347,667 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)

This recently published book (2016), supposedly introduces the readers to women composers. The book is written by Anna Beer, a British author and lecturer, specializing in biographies. “Sounds and Sweet Airs” describes eight female composers, representative of historic periods extending from 1587 to 1994, namely the Baroque, the Classical, the Romantic and the Modern and Contemporary periods. The ladies are: Francesca Caccini (1587-1641) from Florence; Barbara Strozzi (1619-1677) from Venice; Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre (1665-1729) from Paris; Marianna Martines (1744-1812) from Vienna; Fanny Mendelssohn (1805-1847) originally from Berlin, then from various cities also in Gernamy; Clara Wieck (1819-1896) from various cities in Germany; Lili Boulanger (1893-1918) from Paris; Elizabeth Maconchi (1907-1994) from Dublin. The above are described in eight chapters, each dedicated to one composer, following an introduction titled “Notes from the Silence”.Unfortunately, the composers seem to be randomly selected and just as randomly presented. Let us see how.First, some major figures were left out. Most important among them are:German Benedictine Abbess and multi-talented genius Hildegard Von Bingen (1098-1179). Her inclusion should have been a must, not just because of her own talent, but because of the times that she represents: the Middle Ages during the 12th century - about three centuries before the Renaissance, the time when human creativity started to awaken after centuries of undisturbed sleep.Nadia Boulanger is the next major disappointing omission. Not only because she was left out, but also because her little sister Lili was selected instead. There is a 40 plus page chapter dedicated to Lili Boulanger (1893-1918) and practically nothing about her big sister Nadia (1887-1979), big in every sense of the word. At 25, Lili died very young. This means that she did not have the opportunity to develop and express her creativity, after reaching maturity. Nadia, on the other hand, lived a much longer life, and that alone gave her the necessary time to mature and compose. Nadia was multi-talented. In addition to being a composer, she was a conductor and a teacher. She is famous for having taught many of the leading composers and musicians of the 20th century. Nadia also performed occasionally as a pianist and organist. She was the first woman to conduct major orchestras in America and Europe, including the BBC Symphony, the Boston Symphony, the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Symphony orchestras. She conducted world premieres, among them works by Copland and Stravinsky. And the author leaves her out, in favor of her 25 year old sister?!?!?!Nadia Boulanger and Hildegard Von Bingen are not the only composers conspicuously absent in a book dedicated to female composers. Internet site Wikipedia lists additional prominent female composers: Ethel Smyth (1858-1944); Amy Beach (1867-1944); Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979); Germaine Tailleferre (1892-1983); and Sofia Gubaidulina 1931, all belonging to the Romantic and Modern periods. In addition to the above, Wikipedia also lists in chronological order the names of all recorded female composers starting with Greek poet and musician Sappho (born c. 612 BCE in the island of Lesbos), along with their dates of birth and death. The names are too many to count, dozens, and dozens. This means that we may seldom hear about female composers, but their names and published works are all recorded and available. The author neglects to mention these women, and that leaves the readers with the impression that the eight women that she describes are the only female composers whose work has survived.Let us go back to the eight composers and the way in which the author presents them. The title of each of the eight main chapters is the composer’s last name; yes, the last name only, without the first name or years of birth and death. The years of birth and death are very basic information in any biography and essential for the understanding of the compositions themselves against their historical backgrounds. In the book, these years are given separately about the beginning and end of the chapter, but not consistently in the same section. In other words, it is not always easy to find the date of birth. More difficult is locating the year of death. As for the way in which the biographies are presented, they seem to have been put together in a hurry, a great hurry. One almost has the impression that the author gathered the information, then threw it on the pages without worrying about any kind of organization. There is not a preset scheme, nor a coherent story that one can follow, for example, the composer was born in ………., grew up in…….., worked for………..; composed these many works, most prominent among them being….. She died in…….., on….There are no organized lists of the major works by each composer. Sometimes the author concentrates on one work, not necessarily her best or most popular, while neglecting the rest. She candidly admits to having done that.In addition to the main body, there is an Endnote, reflecting on “how to be a great composer” and concluding that the composer has to be a man. A playlist of works by each of the eight composers follows, but the author makes it clear in the very title that such is: “A Highly Personal Playlist“. In other words, not all works are mentioned, only the few with which she is familiar. Consistent with the already noted lack of organization, the eight composers in this chapter are not presented in the same chronological order as they are in the text. There are spelling mistakes for some of the musical compositions whose title is presented in a foreign languages.A Glossary, Further Reading, References, Acknowledgements and Index conclude the book.

The forgotten women composers come live in this book, which educates, entertains, and motivates all at once. Should be compulsory reading for every musician in the world. If you haven’t read about these women composers, your education is incomplete.

Beautifully written and brilliantly researched. I’ve given this book to more people than any other book I’ve ever read, and I keep a copy in my office to lend to students. The information is valuable, and Beer’s writing makes the stories compelling.

Interesting to read some of this, but if you already know quite a bit about female composers, you won't learn a lot that you don't already know. It gives short synopses of the "usual" historical female composers Caccini, Strozzi, de la Guerre, Martines, Hensel, Schumann, Boulanger and, a composer of more recent vintage, Maconchy. The book is, however, well-written. And if you don't know much about these composers, the stories of their lives and accomplishments are engagingly brought to life.

The biographies are informative both as regards the composer's personal lives and their compositions. It is also a very readable book.

Well written and stories we should all know about gifted composers whose music we should be hearing.

It took me longer that normal to get through Anna Beer's new book Sounds and Sweet Airs: The Forgotten Women of Classical Music. This isn't because of any defect in Beer's writing. Just the opposite: each chapter sends me off discovering a new composer, which gets me immersed in new worlds of music, history, sociology and gender politics. Beer begins with a couple of 17th century Italian composers, each of whom managed to build significant musical careers through talent and shrewd politics. This music is clearly as advanced as anything else being produced in Florence in the first half of the 17th century. Caccini's gifts as a singer and a father who was a fine composer in his own right were two advantages, but there were minefields of class and gender and local politics that Francesca had to navigate before she was able to attain some measure of success. Caccini's body of works isn't as large as it should be, nor was she able to completely fulfil her potential, but what we have is really remarkable, and it's showing up in a significant recording legacy today.A few decades later Barbara Strozzi walked her own fine line to win some (fleeting) fame and modest fortune in Monteverdi's Venice. All of Strozzi's obstacles and her hard-won triumphs are entertainingly detailed by Beer. This is fine story-telling based on significant primary and secondary scholarship. There's an extraordinary aria entitled Lagrime Mie, from Strozzi's 1659 cantata Diporti di Euterpe. It's telling that this pupil of Francesco Cavalli can match this aria against the best works of her teacher.Of the other composers in Beer's book, my personal favourite is Clara Wieck Schumann, whose reputation is growing as her compositions become more widely known. Nearly shouldered out of the music books altogether by Robert Schumann on the one hand, and Johannes Brahms on the other, Clara's music dovetails so easily into her husband's, but there's a distinctive voice here. One of my favourite pieces is a lovely Larghetto from the four Pieces Fugitives she wrote in 1840. Fugitive pieces is a fitting title for music by all eight of the composers in this book. Whether they were mansplained or ignored or openly despised, these strong-willed renegades kept their heads down and produced excellent, sometimes great music that deserves more attention. Sounds and Sweet Airs is a major step in bringing these outlaws into the light. It was a bit of a disappointment that there is little mention of composers after Elizabeth Maconchy, who died in 1994, and stopped writing music in 1985. I understand that even the eight chosen composersCaccini (born in 1587)StrozziJacquet de la GuerreMartinesHenselSchumannBoulangerMaconchy (died in 1994)represent a huge historical range to master with Beer's high scholarly standards. But I hope that the popularity of Beer's book makes people aware of women composers other than the Anna Beer Eight (Grazyna Bacewicz for one), and especially composers alive and working today: like Lydia Kakabadse, Kate Moore, Sadie Harrison and Cristina Spinei.

These are excellent editions of excellent books. However, if you are getting the Little House Collection, you will probably want all 9 books. Consider ordering Little House Nine-Book Box Set instead if you want all 9 books.

These are the childhood classics, on super high quality sturdy paper (the kind classy textbooks use), they are durable and glossy. Also, the garth williams illustrations have been gently colored in, and are still lovely. This is an absolute keeper. And the durable paper quality makes this worth stocking up on -- it should last for at least a generation or two.

Excellent early reader series for kids just getting acquainted with chapter books. Genuine American history from a child's viewpoint. These are classics. Sturdy with colorful pictures and large font. My daughter already read them twice and asked for the next four in the series. Great coming of age stories about having good character and working hard to overcome difficulty. Builds the value of education into a child. Why can't modern children's authors write with this level of quality and character? You won't be disappointed.

No matter how many times my family reads these trueStories, they bring us back to when simpler times surely seemedLike better times. We are looking forward to visiting the Wilder homestead this summer in Malone. NY. It’s just an hour and 30 minutes from our summer place and we couldn’t be more excited!! We feel quite fortunate to have had Laura’s life to reflect on and remind us of what’s truly important, family! Thank you to Laura and her heirs who keep her profound legacy alive for our children and grandchildren.

This review is for the kindle edition set of the first five books in the series. These books are a great read, we already know that. I want to talk about the kindle experience of these books.I've been waiting for these to come out on kindle for awhile. The books separately are 8.99 as of now, and it's a little cheaper to buy this package of 5 books instead of doing it individually. My biggest complaint about this set is the navigation. I can easily choose which book to read from the "go to" kindle menu. But, after choosing the book you want to read, you cannot further navigate into the book by the table of contents. I also bought one of the little house books not included in this set, and this problem does not occur, I'm able to navigate to different chapters if I choose. I wish I had bought these books individually to avoid this annoyance, even if it would've been a little more expensive. If you don't care about this issue I would purchase this as I have found no issues with the content. The illustrations are all there as they are in the books, even the smaller illustrations at the beginning of each chapter.

My kids (ages 6-13) and I love The Little House series. We love to read about how American settlers of the West worked hard & persevered in spite of horrible circumstances—with their faith intact. Even though they physically worked harder to do daily tasks and produce goods as a family that we do not think twice about, they were probably happier and more fulfilled, and more mature at an earlier age than modern American families. Their values and character were stronger, simpler, & more wholesome than today’s Americans, too. We are better people just for having read all the Little House books. I recommend this series for children & adults to appreciate our modern conveniences, and to be inspired to live more simply, with more character, love, faith, & grit—just like Laura Ingalls Wilder’s family.

I loved these stories when I was growing up. I thought my grand daughter would enjoy them also - so I bought this set for her. But when it arrived, I just had to peek through and found myself reading these stories again. I enjoyed each one. Don't laugh, but I ended up keeping the collection for myself. My grand daughter can now borrow it from me - but this collection is mine.

These books were perfect for my second grader to read. These books are readable at his age yet still challenging enough exposing him to broader vocabulary words. I never read this books as a child, so it is my first time as well. Farmer Boy is better directed to a boy, but we've enjoyed the first two books. My grandparents owned farms and I recall many of the things described in these books. Though my children do not have these experiences, These books gives them some exposure to what life is like growing on a farm. Though a bit more romanticized than I remember...

Timeless, endearing story of pioneer life. My son loves these books. His eyes get wide hearing about the daily tasks of pioneer life. On the Banks of Plum Creek has funny and suspenseful moments, like the grasshopper plague. We have really enjoyed the audible version of these books.

Review

“Brown writes with a winning combination of thoughtfulness, pragmatism and enthusiasm... He avoids the trap of presenting design thinking as a panacea. Mr. Brown charts its failures as well as successes…” (New York Times)“It’s like getting golf tips from Tiger Wood’s coach. Tim Brown’s firm IDEO has won more medals for innovative design than anyone in the world. If you want to be more innovative at work or in life, study with the coach of champions.” (Chip Heath, co-author of Made to Stick)“In his new book, the CEO of design shop IDEO shows how even hospitals can transform the way they work by tapping frontline staff to engineer change.” (BusinessWeek)“This should be mandatory reading for marketers and engineers who can’t understand why a product as cool as the Segway wasn’t a breakout hit.” (Inc.)“Tim Brown has written the definitive book on design thinking. Brown’s wit, experience, and compelling stories create a delightful journey. His masterpiece captures the emotions, mindset, and methods required for designing everything from a product, to an experience, to a strategy in entirely different ways.” (Robert I. Sutton, author of The No Asshole Rule)“With people like Brown codifying design thinking, the tools are out there to solve our problems if a few people are willing to attack them with that sort of tenacity.” (Core77)“Tim Brown’s vision, intellect, empathy and humility shine through every page of this book. Change by Design is for dreamers and doers, for corporate executives and NGO leaders, for teachers, students and those interested in the art of innovation.” (Jacqueline Novogratz, founder, Acumen Fund and author, The Blue Sweater)“Design thinking... is a way of seeing the world and approaching constraints that is holistic, interdisciplinary, and inspiring.” (Ivy Ross, executive vice president of marketing, The Gap)“Brown is clear, persuasive, and often funny... Even for those of us without our own sovereign nation or blue-chip corporation, design thinking offers a guide for rethinking and organizing our everyday creative processes.” (SEED)“Brown makes a potent case for employing this creative collaboration in a variety of settings.” (Miami Herald)

From the Back Cover

The myth of innovation is that brilliant ideas leap fully formed from the minds of geniuses. The reality is that most innovations come from a process of rigorous examination through which great ideas are identified and developed before being realized as new offerings and capabilities. This book introduces the idea of design thinking‚ the collaborative process by which the designer′s sensibilities and methods are employed to match people′s needs not only with what is technically feasible and a viable business strategy. In short‚ design thinking converts need into demand. It′s a human−centered approach to problem solving that helps people and organizations become more innovative and more creative. Design thinking is not just applicable to so−called creative industries or people who work in the design field. It′s a methodology that has been used by organizations such as Kaiser Permanente to icnrease the quality of patient care by re−examining the ways that their nurses manage shift change‚ or Kraft to rethink supply chain management. This is not a book by designers for designers; this is a book for creative leaders seeking to infuse design thinking into every level of an organization‚ product‚ or service to drive new alternatives for business and society.

I was hoping this could perhaps inspire me as I begin my career and to see how the world could use more "design" oriented thinking. While there are certainly many interesting examples and ideas in the book I think this may be more geared towards people in management or in business for themselves. To be sure, the ideas seem rock solid, the kind of holistic thinking that is advocated in the book IS what makes many of the most successful companies in the world. But, again, i feel like "little old me" can't really make the kind of changes in a corporate environment that would be necessary. But I guess if part of the point is simply to put the idea of "Design thinking" out there, then this book deserves to be read by those who are in positions to make those changes. I know I will appreciate the concepts taught in this book if/when I reach that point in my career.

“...predictability leads to boredom and boredom leads to the loss of talented people.”Unfortunately, this statement on page 17 mirrored my experience with the book: predictable writing leads to boredom and boredom leads to a loss of attention. There’s no compelling story or message. The writing lacks fire. Stories of IDEO’s successes are unconvincing and uninteresting for lack of detail. The cover design, the hand-drawn “mind map” on the inside front cover, and the slightly unusual pagination all suggest a forced quirkiness without purpose. If the book were bold in its design or in its writing that might cover for the thin material inside, but the presentation is so mild and hesitant it’s hard to share the author’s enthusiasm. If you’ve attended a design or engineering meeting in which an earnest colleague explains the obvious at length, and with relish, then you’ve already read this book.I’d like to say that there is a better book buried inside this one, and that “design thinking” could prove a useful methodology if delivered by a more skilled writer, but whatever useful nuggets might be found here are expressed more coherently, and more usefully, in other books about design. If you haven’t yet read Donald Norman’s book The Design of Everday Things, read that. Cherish it. Use it to swat away people who invite you to watch inspirational videos. Read it again rather than read a lesser book. Then try The Visual Display of Quantitative Information by Edward Tufte.Norman’s and Tufte’s books are well written. They should piss you off a little bit because they open your eyes to how terribly designed many products are. You’ll be different after reading those books. You won’t want to change the world after reading those books; you’ll want to fix it. You won’t find many more books like them.Although I have respect for IDEO, and nothing against the author of this book, I can’t recommend buying it. If you find my copy in a Little Free Library, then it could be worth some time flipping through. But in general your time would be better spent reading books about design that appear on numerous “best of” lists.

The book is great for exploring the discipline of design thinking and even greater when it has applied it to so many cases of innovation in the context of "change". Tim has expansive experience in the field, no doubt about it.But, in many places in the book I found Tim wondering around aimlessly and that sometimes confused me, and many times made my journey of this read difficult. Maybe because he has the mind of a designer and design thinking could easily look like an aimless journey.. and coping with a mind of designer along a creative path is by nature an unpredictable experience. Besides, I wish Tim goes for a refresh on the book as 2008 is too old for an era of digital transformation and disruption. In my opinion, "design thinking" is a bad name for a way of work that has evolved over time and in many areas that hardly can be claimed as belonging to it. Empathy and human-centered approaches, observation, brainstorming, experimentation, and prototyping are all ways of work and development that you can find in many disciplines such as design, strategy, software, training, problem-solving, and many more. Being a bad name is because of two reasons: it emphasizes "thinking" and ignores "doing", and it mentally (not actually) attaches it to design while it applies to many other areas. But I guess "design thinking" is made to stick, and I have no real issue with that.I would recommend this book for those who would like to explore the topic and at the same be cautious of its fuzzy nature.

If you are looking for a book that describes Tim's view of what IDEO does, then this is a good book and probably deserves a higher rating than I am giving it. But, I doubt that is what most people who do buy the book are hoping to find. I think that most people will be looking for a guide to the application of design thinking in their own business environments. This book is not that. In fact, it is so far from it that I was sorely tempted to give it a one star rating. As a how to book, it is about as big a turn-off as one could imagine. In the early pages he describes what appears to be the hiring process at IDEO, but he makes it sound like this super selectivity is required to identify anyone who will be participating in your own design thinking efforts. Of course, that tone is not helpful at all. What we need is a guide to help the teams we have apply they disciplined tools of design thinking that are oh so tersely described in the IDEO "method card" deck. So, if you want a book that describes what to expect from IDEO should you happen to hire them to help you with a particular customer enablement challenge, this book is for you and you should think of it as a five star book. It would also rate it highly as a book to give to a superstar employee in whom you are going to invest the bucks to send them to the Stanford d School's "Bootcamp" program. But if you want a guide to the application of design thinking to give to your troops, avoid this book like the plague. I would rate it as something lower than one star for that purpose.

This is one of the best accounts of someone's personal evolution I've read. Lately, many are writing about their lives and personal growth and Sue's account stands out. Not only does she openly expose herself and her vulnerability, she also writes in a way that is easily relatable. I found her courage and her adventurous spirit very inspiring. You know she is not trying to convince anyone nor sell herself, she simply shares her experiences. The combination of adventure and spiritual insights were perfect for me and much of what she described validated what I've experienced myself. She felt like a close sister to me. Thank you Sue!

Sue is a personal friend and I've witnessed her spiritual journey since the early 2000s. What makes her so amazing to me is that she has both feet on the ground while remaining a receptive and powerful conduit for Spirit to work in her life. As a professional editor, I'm always skeptical when friends or acquaintances say to me, as Sue did, that they're writing a book and will be self-publishing. I want to be supportive, but also know what a disaster it can be if the work isn't given proper care and attention. So when I read Sue's book (Ancient Ones Are Calling Us), I was doubly thrilled. Her book is extremely well-written and engaging. She takes the reader on the emotional/spiritual rollercoaster with her as she struggles to accept the "woo-woo" experiences that led her to trust the communication and insights she was receiving. Her willingness to listen to her inner teachers led her to fully embrace her spiritual path and develop a process to help people move toward embodying their full potential. I had trouble putting the book down, and literally inhaled it within a couple of days. It was only while reading it that I began to fully appreciate the power of the alignment process she had done with me in early 2017. The effects had been subtle yet powerful, and I hadn't fully made the connection or truly appreciated the gift she had given me. When she did an "upgrade" with me last month, after I read the book, my life was immediately transformed. I witnessed miracles in my primary relationship and have had major breakthroughs in my personal vision. Even if you don't take advantage of working with Sue, her book is a beautiful story about trusting intuitive insights, taking risks, and living outside the box. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for the courage to break free of limited thinking.

As you read this adventure of Sue's you will find things in you that have been asleep waking up. You will recall all those times you did not pay attention to the calling inside of your spirit when you should have. Every find yourself repeating the same mistakes and wonder why you have not learned your lesson yet? Join Sue on her journey and discover yourself. We are all one, we are all connected. I haven't finished the book yet, I am only half way thru. I am speechless without words. So much of this I have seen in my own little world. The right time, the right place. If you ever felt lost, get lost between these pages and find yourself.

This was a moving and inspiring tale of Sue Cimino’s mystical journey to Tasmania and the messages she received there. The book challenges us to move beyond what others expect of us in order to embrace our authentic selves. I appreciated the countless thought-provoking ideas that were shared and can’t wait for Cimino’s next book on Whole Being Alignment.

Reading Sue's book after being a witness to her journey is such a joy! I find myself laughing out loud and her wit and humor are a reminder to follow your inner knowing with Lighthearted awareness and surrender. I find my self on every page!Sue's miraculous discoveries open a whole new world of possibility not only for the reader but for the Collective and our planet. What I love most is that Sue has not written this book for the "fame and fortune" but as a True gift infused with an energy that I have no doubt will support and guide us during this time of great transformation. I am so looking forward to ALL that is revealed in her next book.

How does an accountant wind her way from a more conventional life to living in constant faith in interactions with the unseen realm? How does she heed the inner call to travel to what to her feels like the ends of the earth, to Tasmania? Sue Cimino listened to the messages and walked in faith. You will take the journey with her, learning about her mystical experiences with ‘the ancient ones.’ They present her with a new modality of healing, which she is beginning to share with clients in accordance with inner guidance about each next step to take. (Let’s just say her work now is a long way from accounting.) If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to say “Yes” to a calling — no matter how wild it sounds— you will find this book an affirmation of what is possible. I knew Sue when the Tasmania call first came and encouraged the leap. And into the wild, marvelous realm she leapt. What faith! I know you will find this book an inspiration to follow one’s heart song to wonderment and love. I, for one, can’t wait to see (and read) what happens next.

This was a truly inspirational book about the power of following one's own spirit, with courage, faith and openness to where and what experiences that calling may lead. It's like a modern-day "A Wrinkle in Time", where the heroine has truly fantastic experiences, not bound by the constraints of time and space. Only, unlike "A Wrinkle in Time", this is a true story. Ms. Cimino writes with ease, clarity, humor and vulnerability in telling her story. I believe that this woman is working miracles to improve the level of consciousness of our universe. Wow!

This was an inspiring and exciting read! I really felt like I was right there with Sue as she was discovering her life’s purpose. This inspires me to rely more on that little voice of inner knowing so that I too can find myself wandering with a purpose, following my heart on grand adventures.
