I preordered this in January and it arrived today, the day the book was released. I've followed Esther on FB for so long, that Steve and Derek feel like friends that I wave to everyday as I leave the house. Even tossed a few dollars into the fund to help buy the sanctuary, holding my breath, watching the fund grow higher each day. It's been a wild ride, and certainly a unique story that no one else can tell. Others may own a pig, but that pig isn't going to become a worldwide sensation, get people to donate huge funds for a sanctuary, and turn people into vegans. There's magic at work here. Enter Esther, the girl who made Steve, Derek, and herself a household name. The book is funny, endearing, thought provoking, and reminds us that there are many other animals that are just as loving and intelligent as our current domesticated pets, and that they don't deserve the treatment or fate they receive in this world. You may not go completely vegan after reading the book, but most everything about Esther's story will at least give you pause, a reason to consider things that you didn't think about before. Oddly enough, it was yet another person trying to take advantage of an animal that brought Esther into Steve and Derek's life: a person trying to make a quick buck by selling baby commercial pigs, passing them off as "mini pigs". Fate stepped in, Esther was spared a horrific and short life before becoming a package of bacon, and instead became a social media personality that has followers around the globe. No one saw that coming! It helps that her dads have so much personality, and can capture Esther's thoughts and expressions in photos and then write hilarious captions from Esther's point of view. This book is a quick read, very entertaining, and will hopefully make each person ask themselves, "What can I do to make this world one notch better while I'm here? Even if my actions cannot fix the whole problem, what is my personal decision about partaking in this issue? Am I humane, as well as human?" The only way I could be happier with this book is if it had more pages with more wonderful tales of our favorite porcine princess…I’ve been following Esther, her dads and HEEFS for a while now on social media and, I love everything about them and their story. At the heart of it all is a beautiful girl that we’ve all gotten to know through daily pics, videos and stories that make us feel like part of the family – we’ve been granted the unique privilege of daily access to the Wonder Pig and all her mint-sucking, bed-hogging, pool-crushing, tulip-bulb-digging, stick-carrying, wind-passing glory. And, just when we thought we knew everything, and that we couldn’t possibly love her or her dads more…along comes the book. I have been following Esther the Wonder Pig on Facebook for about 7-8 months now. Her personality as portrayed by the dads, who know her well, is both funny and educational. I welcomed the opportunity to find out how it all started and to follow her current adventures! And you cannot exclude Miss Esther's siblings from different mothers! Makes the family complete! This book is an easy read, I bought the e-book and read it this afternoon. I appreciate Steve and Derek sharing freely the emotional roller coaster that came from making a 'mini pig' part of the family and how they held on fast refusing to let go of their 650 pound little girl! I LOVED this book. I am bias because I already love Esther, her Dads, the dogs and all of the farm but reading this book was a true delight. I already knew most of Esther's story but the added insights never shared before on social media were a fun read. The book brings both out loud laughs as well as worries and also happy tears. Though i feel aligned with the author on our common environmental concerns, and he does present many of them well, we go two very different ways on the solution(s). His, a very techno heavy, manipulative path (robots, genetic engineering, control and dominion over nature) that many energy addicted "westerners" might appreciate. My own, and many others (he calls "Eco Freaks") view, (including most native/indigenous peoples, also know as the "poor" of the planet) choosing a path in harmony with this planet system that has given us this glorious dancing place now.He tries to coin a few new words or phrases: Organic Gardening will become "High Tech" Organic Gardening with the use of GMO's is one prime example. As if organic gardening needs 'help' like that. Its been proven gardening methods that mimic nature's natural cycles could, and would produce much more food than our current chemical agriculture and its insidious industrial mono cropping which is destroying the forests and soils of our planet at breakneck speed. All this technological 'help' we've been getting is directly responsible for the condition we now find ourselves in today, as we plateau and start sloping downward to the end of our fossil carbon age.The author is really big on how scientist and technology will save us, and how we need to pour much more money into research and development. To me, this was a real oversight, for i feel we already have all the knowledge and tools we need to get going full steam ahead in turning this anthropogenic climate change around. It's will, and political will that is sorely needed. More of humanity, especially the more affluent ones, need to open their eyes to the benefits (the Joy, actually) from our work and cooperation, even though much of it will be mitigation and adaptation.So, to not make this too long, a few short observations. I gave his book 2 stars because i enjoyed it, though it was a bit scary. His ability to describe research findings was very good. He's a good rhetorician (possibly for the wrong causes), but also uses many of his own articles to back up the case he's making, and i feel, bends others views that he footnotes.We, human beings, i believe, aren't really anywhere close to being accomplished enough to "play God" as the author would love to do with creating new species, and genetic engineering, etc.. Look at the state of affairs we've gotten our planet, and ourselves into with our 'good intentions' and inventions so far. True, a lot of them have helped, but many have us headed toward the yawning maw of extinction for an exponentially increasing number of our fellow 'travelers' here, including ourselves. And the bottom line is, we already have everything we need to go forward into finding our true harmony with our planet and ourselves, and positive solutions for our 'climate crisis'. Each one of us has a responsibility to understand what deep doo doo we're in, turn our own lives toward getting to know our planet, ourselves and our "God", whatever or however we relate to that mysterious life force energy that science will never be able to put its finger on.I'd recommend reading Vandana Shiva...Soil, not Oil, or maybe her newly released book i don't know the name of.

I began studying Japanese language with the orange Genki book, four semesters ago. I find this the best text on the market. I am now entering my 5th semester and ready to take on the green book.The book is laid out in an easy to follow style beginning with a dialogue, new vocabulary, and grammar points. In the last half of the chapter there are drills that help you with each grammar point. In the back there are kanji drills and other useful language phrases and situational tips. The text is clear and easy to follow. This is a comprehensive language course.I highly recommend this text.

I've tried many things, Rosetta Stone,Internet help web sites, audio tapes, almost everything you can imagine to learn japanese. But the Genki textbooks are what has really worked for me. If you put enough time and energy into dedicating yourself to studying the books material. You will definitely be on a good start with your journey into learning Japanese. I do wish there was a book 3.

This book is amazing as for learning Japanese. I got this book for my class and it does helps out a lot. They way they integrate English into japanese makes it so much easier to understand. It really helps me put my sentences together as I write or speak it, which is a plus for me or anyone willing to learn. Got to speak the Japanese I learned from Genki for a lot of situations in Japan recently, people love it when you don't have to use hand signals and stare at them confused like a deer in headlights. Great stuff, buy it.

I have read dozens of books on track driving, and have been driving on track for 20 years and I and find this author's explanations very cryptic. I would not buy

Perfect corner 1 and 2 as well as perfect control are full of info that are written in other books, but these books are written in a laborious and sometimes very confusing fashion.

This book is the third in a series, and picks up where the others leave off by covering topics such as connected and complex turns, so that we can understand how to optimize a track as a whole. All three books are must-reads for anyone serious about optimizing their performance/race driving, and the three books should be read in order. There's a lot of physics embedded in these books, and though it's explained patiently and intuitively, the reader needs to do their part in really studying the books - this isn't light reading. But if you want to understand not only how to drive optimally, but also *why* certain things are optimal, there's no substitute for delving into the physics. Remember, if driving well was easy, it wouldn't be challenging and fun!Do I need to say more? Order the three books, read them carefully and repeatedly, and be prepared for your driving to be transformed. I'm aware of no other resources on driving which compare with these books.

It's good to see Chaosium getting back to topnotch books again. This one along with Unseen Masters, represents a "new wave" of Call of Cthulhu - as good or better than any of the stuff released in years.You can't really go wrong with this package, it's got background resource material for the Goatswood area and a nice bundle of scenarios that look like fun to run (I can't wait to spring some of them on my group! HEH HEH HEH) I don't want to give away any spoilers but there's an S&M club, and the "GUARD" at the club is such a wicked idea not to mention the dude who runs the place. Good to see Ramsey the man himself giving the introduction, read his Silent Children book if you really want to get chills!The artwork is decent, and lots of it. Plenty of handouts too, which are really important as far as I am concerned. One thing I could do without though is the side illustrations, they take up too much room that could maybe be used for information. But that's a small jibe compared to the value.

Having played in a CoC campaign by one of the authors (Steve Spisak) for several years, I can personally attest to the level of detail and playability of his work. This book is excellent and well thought out, as well as being eminently playable. 5 Stars.

At first I was hesitant to get this BL novel because of the title, I should have listened. Well It does have a nice story ,characters coming through nicely. Its Nice.A mystery lover that ends up the boss and becomes the perfect lover. The conflict of the main character stems from his insecurity of having fleeting relationships . Compared to the other novel I have, the love scenes here are written in a somewhat dry manner .I found myself getting bored reading the sex scenes.Illustations are ok but i feel it could be better, too bland. When I use the words "ok" and "nice" in a review, it basically means I am not impressed. This book will end up in my resale box.

I, like another reviewer thought this was a manga, and was a little disappointed when it arrived and was a slim mass media book. I put it on my bookshelf for a bit, and after running out of other reading material, I brought it into work to read during my lunch break. I was so engrossed I ended up taking a much longer lunch than I should have! I couldn't wait to get home to finish reading it!! Ok, so the uke was a little weak and a bit winy, but the story was fairly compelling, and the sex scenes were seriously hot!! I recommend it. It's a quick read, but it is quite tasty.

This is the best Yaoi novel I have ever read. I admit, I have only read about ten, but that is only because I found them so disappointing. "Caged Slave" is a well plotted story, easy to follow (I have found some Yaoi novels to have very confusing plots, although that might be because I am not Japanese so am missing some cultural understanding or it might have been a poor translation), very few typos, and with quite a few steamy scenes of a very adult nature. I was extremely pleased with this buy and wish the author had more that just this title available in the US for purchase.

This book is amazing! When I 1st looked at it I thought it was a regular manga, but when it arrived in the mail, it was a novel and I was a little disappointed because I was never really into reading novels of any sort. But this book changed my mind whole heartedly. It has an great story line and a good plot. It may not be something that will happen in real life but its still a good fantasy story with a little real world drama thrown in.The sex scenes are pretty good. The 1st one in my opinion is the best. A good amount of detailed to make u hot under the collar! Take my advice, don't knock a yaoi novel till u read the customer reviews! Ha! This one is truely amazing is deserved to be read.

Tsukasa is a "cold beauty" (I think this should be a typical Japanese stereotype, since it's the second time I found it in an yaoi novel...). He is so beautiful that people around him think that he doesn't need to be properly loved but only admired, and when someone dares to reach for him, he finds a totally different guy, a guy who is not so selfish and selfcontrolled as he seems, and also a guy who needs to be cherished and protected, and above all romantically loved. Yes since Tsukasa dreams of the perfect lover and the perfect life they could have together. And instead, he is just dumped by his last lover who wants to marry a rich girl to have an advancement in career.Tsukasa is mourning in the bar of a posh hotel when he is cruised by an handsome, and apparently, wealthy business man. He is so sad and lonely that, even if he is not is usual behavior, he accepts to follow the man in his room and they spend a night of sex. Another surprise for Tsukas, who, in his previous relationships, has never really appreciated the sexual part of the relationship, always suffered it as a duty to please his partner. And instead this handsome stranger takes care of Tsukasa, and of his body, and brings him to high sexual level he has never reached before.The morning after Tsukasa is surprised, but pleased, when the man asks him a repeat performance the next week. They start a long relationship, meeting every week at the same hotel and in the same room. Tsukasa is addicted to this man, a man he even doesn't know for name.The story is pretty simple and there is a twist in the middle that turns it in a classical of the romance genre, the boss and secretary's relationship. It's pretty clear that for Tsukasa is love, since for the first time he has found a not selfish partner, who not only see his beauty exterior, but also sees the man, and his needs. The story obviously is pretty erotic, but not so graphic details of other in the same genre. There is a lot of sex, but I think Tsukasa's character has a right development. Maybe the "handsome stranger" could be a bit more explained, his reasons, his feelings, above all in the second part, when he is also given a real role.

I was lured in by the cover art and promise of illustrations, but I just did not find this book sexy. I found myself laughing during the sex scenes at the florid purple prose (and Tsukasa's effluent "honey") and wanting to kick them both in the head for being stupid.Admittedly, I don't know whether the florid prose is in the original or whether it's an artifact of translation.

Super sexy uke and hot seme. Office forbidden love.one of the best yaoi novel that translate in English.I really enjoy this novel.
