I love all of Emmet Fox's books and teachings so a daily meditation or affirmations book was a no-brainer. These are 1-Page (usually) lessons from his teachings, such as Sermon on the Mount, that have a daily valuable lesson. Good stuff.

I have been reading Emmet Fox for over 30 years and bought this copy for a friend who was struggling with depression. Emmet Fox books are the ultimate source for gaining in spiritual understand (metaphysics). AA 12 Step Program was greatly influenced by Emmet Fox and there is no better tool for living than the 12 Steps. (Emmet Fox is compatible with any religion; it is not a religion but a spiritual guide.)I guarantee if you start off your day reading excerpts from this book, you will be in a better space and your thinking will be better.

I want to highly recommend this book. This is my first Emmet Fox book and after reading this, I am going to immediately look into his other works. I'm on the assumption that this particular book is like a summary of all of his best advice. Not sure if that is correct, but all I know is that I must have highlighted hundreds of sentences from this book in my kindle. Such encouraging, uplifting, excellent life advice written in a straightforward manner. I plan on reading it again many times in the future. I can't wait to delve into other books he has written.

This is an incredibly positive and practical way to grow my understanding and practical application of Truth. Each daily message is brief, succinct, very understandable and very practical. I am very grateful for having discovered this author and book. I am and will be eternally grateful to Mr. Fox for his gift which I read upon waking, every morning now and as of April 1 2017 will enter my fourth year. I have read scores of spiritual books including of course the Bible, but also studied the Course In Miracles several years and many other superb books but this for me, at this stage of my life is perfect. Succinct, always insightful and always inspiring. Thank you Mr. Fox.

Wonderful wisdom from a brilliant spiritual teacher! These daily readings really have affected my view of the world and my place in it. Wish I had found these sooner. He uses scripture from the Bible to make really important points about the world in which we live and it has changed my entire perspective on the Bible.

The content of the book is great. I have a big issue with the front size. Over 1/2 of the pages are empty space. In order to save money the publisher took the print from the smaller book and just pasted it into the bigger book. I got this book because it was much bigger and seemed like it would be more readable. Unless you are under 45 you will need glasses for this.So tired of companies trying anything they can to make another 5 cents. Will return this

I was introduced to Emmet Fox in the summer of 2018 by a friend who was vacationing with me in Provincetown, MA.I was immediately pulled into Fox's readings, his reasoning, and his extraordinary view of the Bible's teachings through the eyes of metaphysics. As a gay man of Faith at times struggling to find a welcoming interpretation of Scriptures, I find Emmet Fox illuminating and affirming, a truly spiritual gift to my morning devotional time.

I was given a copy of this book from a friend who knew I was struggling with my faith and understanding many of the conflicting messages of real life spirituality. He had just weathered his own storm, and I have incorporated this daily devotional into my morning meditations. I have since shared it with many of my friends who have found it likewise transformational. I still refer to it and study its message...if I am feeling lost, chances are its because I have drifted from the central messages of this life changing book...do yourself or a loved one a favor and buy, and read it.

I have learned so much about The Holy Qur'an. So much more to Islam than one might believe, and violence is not the way.

First off, let me say that I know nothing about the following things:-The history of (or basically anythings about) the Qur'an-ArabicHowever, I wanted to learn about the Qur'an and its teachings, so I decided to look into buying one. Although I do not speak Arabic at all (so I can't judge the accuracy of the translations, although I have no doubt that it is as true to the original Arabic as possible), I still wanted a Qur'an that had the original arabic writing alongside the English translation. I saw other Qur'ans on here that either did not have the original Arabic writing, or were formatted strangely. I found this one to be the exact match to what I was looking for. For people who are just getting into the Qur'an (as I am), I highly recommend this version!For one thing, it is a very beautiful and high-quality printed and constructed book. It is hard-bound, and well-worth what you pay for it.Secondly, it gives a lot of precursory information that was very interesting to me, such as how the Qur'an is divided, and the table of contents is laid out very nicely and makes it easy to find what you are looking for.Now, on to the actual scriptures. Like I said before, the English translations are on the left side, and the original Arabic is on the right side. At the bottom Ali has written in great detail, notes that as especially help to me, as they contain thorough explanations and notes and give more insight into the book and what is in it.In conclusion, if you are looking to start your journey into the teachings of the Qur'an, or just would like to expand your collection, this is the one to get!

As I don't read Arabic I assume the translation is as close as one could expect going form Arabic to English. The commentary is very helpful and I am finding the reading of and learning something about this middle east religion interested and informative.

Arrived in pristine condition. Beautiful, exceptional quality. The vendor: The Book Depository, advertised it as NEW and it met the description.It being a vendor outside of Amazon, I am impressed. Should any other reading of interest be offered by The Book Depository, it will be my vendor of choice.As for the contents of this sacred translation. It is truly personal to the reader.

This was one book my Imam did not favor for two things and they are because of the english translation (though honestly he did not really understand the structure of the english like I did, that or because he didn't like the choice of words) but I liked it personally compared to other ones I read before. It is really good, and a bit advanced in the way that you'd have to get a dictionary to see what a word means but it's good because you'd learn new words but you wouldn't really be forced to do it all the time because you'd already know the meaning of what the verse means by the time you get to the word. Though his main gripe was that the book opened and began with the American style (left to right) of books rather than that of Arabic (reverse) where you start at the very back of the book to began the Quran to read it in true Arabic style. But I still do have The Quran with English and Arabic translation he has given me which is also a great one that I should recommend to everyone for the easy understanding and two English and Arabic texts it has, it is in the Arabic style in that when you read it it starts from the Back of the book instead of the front for example American books. The only downside to it is the grammer mistakes found through out the book, but I read both of this books side by side at the same time to compare and get a better understanding because they both can sound better than the other at times so its a win win. Even better though is the Arabic because it is the same in all books as proved by Allah (Almighty God) opposed to different language translations. Another cool note for the other Quran (not this one) is that on the english translation the followers of Allah are refered to as muslims where it doesn't do so on this version of Muhammad Mualana Ali's.Now I don't know Arabic at the moment so this review is obviously for the people looking for the best English translation. I recommend this one, I also recommend the other one which my Imam gave me and its The Holy Quran Kanzul Imam (The Treasure of Faith) By Imam Ahmad Raza Qadri Rehmatullah Alaih Renedered into English By Prof. Syed Shah Faridul Haque Published By Markaz-E-Ahle Sunnat Barkaat-E-RazaNot sure if you will find this anywhere but it's worth that I mention it.

This is a good English translation of the Quran that includes study notes at the bottom. The author helped me better understand the Quran from a Christian mindset.My complaint here would be the translation is a bit old English and thus a little difficult to read but not unbearable.

Excellent translation and clarity, wonderful book materials and well constructed.

Love how the translation of the Quranic text appears in beautiful larger blue letters (Kindle edition), making it easily distinguishable from the very extensive commentary. While it seems that some of the views presented in the commentary differ from those held by the majority of Sunnis, there is nonetheless a wealth of very helpful information about Islam and the Quran, and a rather comprehensive index.

I'm learning about another religion. Got it in good condition. Recommend to all. A specially for Muslims who misunderstand this religion.
