I read about 50 books on the subject of hypnosis. This only my second review on amazon. I do this when I have a nice surprise and when I come back continually to the book. The author is a stage hypnotist, and I think he has a better understanding of hypnosis and the subconscious mind than many hypnotherapists who have written books on the subject. He keeps the subject simple, clear and accessible. The book is short, interesting and to the point. Those who are familiar with authors like Coué and Harry W. Carpenter will find that the topics presented in this book make perfect sense. To me, the author's definition of hypnosis is a brilliant one: "A state of hypnosis exists whenever the critical thought process has been suspended" (allowing the suggestions to enter directly the subconscious mind). In a very simple manner, this short book covers the essentials of hypnosis and self-hypnosis, and presents it with a positive and interesting approach. No complicated theories, just useful information. Everything you need to know to help yourself and others. Thanks M. Yuzuik. This was my first Kindle e-book. I love Kindle app for PC. You can adjust the text to any size you want on your PC and you save a lot of money on the shipping cost.
This is the first book I read on hypnosis, and one that I will always keep close by when needing a refresher course on the subject.This book is simply amazing. He breaks things down in a way that it is simple to retain and understand.Terry is an amazing author and entertainer.
