This the second book in Candace’s new series Dragons of the Bayou. Cherry is the librarian in the small town near the bayou where the Dragon shifters have made their home. She is fun loving and finally has gotten her dream job, head librarian! She thinks that she is just meant to be alone until Cezar walks into the library. He is trying desperately to find his mate so Sky’s younglings, from the first book, suggest he sign up for Tender! It’s a hilarious encounter between him, the computer, and Cherry. Cezar is an alpha male with a heart! All he wants to do is take care of his mate. He just has to learn how to do it in the 21st century! There are some intense and salacious scenes between these two! Loved this book! The world building and characters cohesively came together and made sense.
This is a wonderful addition to the series. It can be read as a stand alone but if you have read the first book, you will better understand why Cezar wanted to behave differently than Beast had behaved when he found his mate. You will also know the characters that show up in this book. Cezar is a dragon and if he doesn't find his mate by a certain age, he will go crazy. He is such a sweetheart and even though he has read all he can about human mating rituals, he is still clueless. Once he finds the shy librarian, Cherry, his attempts to woo her will have you laughing and wanting to give him a big hug. Cherry has no self confidence so Cezar has a rocky road ahead of him to make her his. I loved this book and the characters. It is easy to get invested in them and in the story. The story has just the right amount of steam so it is an addition to the story, not the main focus. I can't wait to see it Cherry's sister will be a match to one of the other guys. I'm pulling for one in particular because I know it would be hilarious to see how he handles finding his mate.
Cezar’s been researching human behavior for finding a mate. When he unexpectedly finds her in the library, he knows he needs to behave as the books say a human male should. Unfortunately, his mate, Cherry, doesn’t have a lot of self-confidence when it comes to relationships, and she doubts his intentions are serious. This leads to some humorous behavior and interactions between the two as they work through the ups and downs of dragon courtship. What starts out as seeming doomed before it even starts becomes so much more for a couple who prove that they are made for each other. This is a charming addition to an enjoyable series!
I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book forever and now I can say thT it was truly worth the wait. Cezar and Cherry’s story was full of past hurts and misunderstandings. Poor Cherry is a librarian who survived the foster system, but didn’t come out of it unscathed, while Cezar is a dragon who is trying to act human to win his mate. I was given this book for an honest opinion and have to say that I absolutely loved it.Hoping to see Cherry’s sister Chyna getting her own dragon at some point in this series too!
Okay, let me tell you I was utterly fascinated by Cezar when I “met†him in the first book of this series, Beast.This story was amazing and I had to go back and read it a second time because I wanted to revisit this couple once more. I think that Cherry was the best mate that there was possible for Cezar. She always felt frumpy, and like she didn’t deserve happiness and joy with someone as HOT as Cezar and he was ready and willing to show her that she was.This was a thrilling read from cover to cover, and I can’t wait for more!
She just wants to lose her virginity this year. She finally has the job of her dreams as the head librarian. She didn't count on meeting the persistent and life changing mate of her dreams. It's all too good to be true - so she pushes him away. She can't believe someone as drop dead gorgeous as he is would be into her. There's just no way! Right??? He will stop at nothing to prove to her that he is the only one that will make her happy.
He is a dragon from another world. She has just made head librarian. He wants a mate and his friends mate's nephews talk him into signing up for a dating app. He doesn't know how to work a computer so he goes to the library where she is. He finds her and now wants to take care of her. But she has been abused most of her life. She has a twin. I highly recommend this.
Cezar meets his Cherry in the library when he needs help with a computer that has a dating site on it. Cherry is a librarian and Cezar is a dragon . They both get advice from others and the fun begins. Will be looking forward for the next books in the series. Get the book of you like a little laugh with your love story.
